DRAG LOOP / COW HORN

The Drag Loop, or Cow Horn as it is affectionately known, is mainly used when applying slurry to combinable crops with an umbilical system working in the tramlines. It is used to pull the supply hose across the field at 900  to the tramlines, moving the hose forward ahead of the applicator to stop the hose from twisting.

It is available in 4” and 5” diameter with Bauer, Storz or Metal 360 couplings. The Cow Horn system is very easy to use, doesn’t require a high-powered tractor, and doesn’t need to be constantly moved or manned. The 3-pont linkage frame is light, durable and long lasting, making it a cost effective-addition to an umbilical spreading system.
